PraiseEngine launched publicly on August 2. Less than a day later, we are shipping the first major product update — focused on making it easier to start for free, upgrade when you are ready, and control how reviews look and behave on your site.
If you signed up at launch, head to app.praiseengine.com to try the new widget layouts and sorting. If you have not created an account yet, get started on the Free plan — no credit card required.
Pricing & plans
Free plan, forever
New accounts now start on a permanent Free plan. No credit card. No countdown clock.
The old 14-day trial is gone. If you are still on a trial when this update ships, you will move to the Free plan automatically when the trial ends — you will not lose access; you will land on Free instead of being cut off.
Clearer paid tiers
Paid plans are now easier to compare at a glance. Each tier has a defined team seat limit:
- Starter — $29/month — 1 teammate
- Growth — $79/month — 5 teammates
- Agency — $199/month — unlimited teammates
See full feature breakdowns on the pricing page.
Your brand on paid plans
Every paid plan removes the “Powered by PraiseEngine” badge from your collection and display widgets. Your embeds look like your brand — not ours.
Branding
Custom profile colors
Paid plans can set accent, background, and text colors on public review
profiles (/reviews/your-company). Match your site instead of default
PraiseEngine styling.
Custom widget colors
The same paid-plan color controls now apply to embed styling, aligned with your profile branding. Collection and display widgets can share a consistent look with your review page.
Widgets
Widget language
Choose a language when you create a collection or display widget. The embed UI, success messages, and AI interview questions adapt to that language. 11 locales are supported at launch.
Four display layouts
Display widgets are no longer one-size-fits-all. Pick a layout when creating or editing a widget:
- Standard — classic stacked review cards
- Grid — multi-column layout for denser proof
- Carousel — swipe or scroll through top reviews
- Marquee — continuous scroll for high-traffic pages
Sortable review widgets
Control how reviews appear in display widgets:
- Highest rated
- Lowest rated
- Newest
- Oldest
Delete widgets
Remove collection or display widgets you no longer need directly from the dashboard — no orphaned embeds cluttering your account.
Reviews
Delete reviews
Permanently remove any review from your dashboard, with a confirmation step so nothing disappears by accident.
Highest rated first, by default
Reviews now sort by rating everywhere by default — dashboard, public profile, and widgets. Your strongest proof surfaces first without extra configuration.
Filter and sort in the dashboard
The reviews list is more useful for busy teams:
- Filter by status or website
- Sort by rating or date
Sort on public profiles
Visitors can change how reviews are ordered on your public review page — not just your team in the dashboard.
Marketing & help text
We updated copy across the product to match this release — the landing page, pricing, dashboard help text, and onboarding now reflect widget layouts, sorting, delete controls, and the Free plan instead of the old trial language.
Historical launch posts from August 2 still mention the 14-day trial for context; this post is the source of truth going forward.
